Quote: Only the moment counts. It determines life. ~ Kafka Meditation Suggestion: The mind controls the body but the breath controls the mind. When your attention is drawn out of you and your energy is out there too, you feel off kilter. A simple remedy is to take a conscious breath in and as you exhale keep your attention inside your torso, in your belly or solar plexus or heart area. With each exhalation feel that area softening and expanding. This creates a feeling of spaciousness inside and also brings your energy and attention to a more centered place. Then from that grounded place, you can enjoy pleasant things more deeply, see more clearly what to do and say in situations and feel more peaceful in chaotic times. Asana Practice: With your feet hip width apart, try turning your toes out a little in Downward Facing Dog and then drawing your heels back and down toward mat. Then do the same thing with your toes turned in slightly. See how these variations affect your pose. Pictured: Jyoti in
