Quote of the Month: "Never take a fence down until you know why it was put up." ~ Robert Frost

Meditation Suggestion: When you sit each day, it is like putting money in the bank. If you save a little money each day, day after day after day, then when your car breaks down or you are hit with a big expense, it is not so devastating. You have a reserve. It is the same with meditation and spiritual practice. If you practice each day, then when you encounter a big loss or challenge, you have a reserve to draw on. Also, after the initial shock, you know how to find your way to center because the way is so familiar to you. Sitting for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening will profoundly affect your life.

Asana Practice: Forward bends are a nice prelude to meditation. They are soothing and quiet the mind. Forward bends can be held quite awhile and allow you time to let go of tension and gripping. If you enjoy doing yoga before your daily meditation, let a long forward bend be one of the last asanas you do before moving to your cushion
